Agenda

Digital Railway 2026 will take place in Gdańsk on 23–25 March 2026.
The main objective of the event is to explore issues related to digital interfaces in railway traffic control systems. The conference also aims to create a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience between technology providers, the academic community, and industry.

During the event, the latest cloud-based solutions for railway traffic control will be discussed, along with current trends in the digitalisation of control processes. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about cyber threats related to traffic operations in digital systems and to discuss the principles of cybersecurity.

    This EULYNX workshop program offers two parallel workshop sessions by the EULYNX Academy trainers, ranging from fundamental architecture overviews to expert-level technical deep dives into engineering and security specifications.

    Introduction level:
    15:00 – 17:15
    Session A: EULYNX Fundamentals (Ibtihel Cherif)
    An introductory overview of the EULYNX reference architecture and its role in decoupling interlocking logic from field elements to reduce lifecycle costs.

    Expert level:
    A deep dive workshop into the engineering, security, and implementation of EULYNX for infrastructure managers and supply industry partners.

    15:00 – 16:00
    Session B1: Engineering of EULYNX

    A technical walkthrough on configuring EULYNX subsystems and connecting national requirements of the infrastructure managers to EULYNX, explanation of the IM code marking and example with SCI-ILS.

    A comprehensive session on applying EULYNX/ERJU SP Cybersecurity Specifications, focusing on tendering requirements, operational models, testing. Reflecting on migration and existing installed base. Alignment with the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and NIS 2.

    The second part of the workshop will be focused on specific topics, which will be selected by participants via voting.

    Communication Stack and RaSTA (Ibtihel Cherif)
    Explanation of the applied communication stack and the usage of RaSTA by EULYNX, including the applied RaSTA parameters, specifications and sequences.

    Migration to EULYNX (Christian Kis)
    A session covering the migration toward the EULYNX target architecture, covering scenarios related to Green Field / Renewal / Resignalling / Mosaic migration. Examples and discussion on cases for ERTMS Rollout on existing IXL (Brown Field) and Conversion of Interlocking Modules into Multi Element Controllers.

    TDS Force Clear Options (Nico Huurman)
    Deep dive into the Train Detection Specifications, explaining the TDS Force Clear (resetting axle counts) variants. The session includes a demonstration on using a simulator.
